Solution integrates easily into existing IT infrastructures for complete information security
Singapore, November 21, 2011 - Document solutions company Fuji Xerox Singapore has announced a strategic partnership with Seclore to offer the Seclore FileSecure information rights management solution (IRM) integrated to Fuji Xerox’s multifunction devices (MFDs), Docushare Content Management Solution and Mobile Document Connector. Designed to integrate seamlessly with these systems, the software signifies a new approach to information security, where security and protection centres on the actual information, rather than on technologies that secure hardware, such as disk encryption technology, anti-virus system or network firewalls.

This partnership addresses the latest developments in security technologies and the trend towards IRM technologies. Initiatives by enterprises to equip workers with mobile devices such as iPads have posed a threat on data security and point towards the need for a more data centric view of information security. In addition, the higher adoption of cloud-based infrastructure and applications are diluting the protection offered by traditional security systems. Compliance frameworks from ISO, HIPPA, GLBA and PCI have at the same time put increasingly tighter controls on the usage of data. Previously considered as applications within a stack of applications, IRM solutions like the Seclore FileSecure are now designed to be part of the IT infrastructure in order to provide more advanced and comprehensive protection for enterprises.

Mr Willie Lim, Go Green Evangelist and Senior Technology & Solutions Manager, Fuji Xerox Singapore, said, "Many of our customers have shared with us the difficulties they face when it comes to protecting their data, and the increasing trend of their staff accessing confidential company information through their mobile devices and cloud-based repositories. This partnership with Seclore allows us to offer total information security solution. The integration with Fuji Xerox MFDs will enable our users to automatically protect scanned images immediately after it is scanned. For example, a credit card application form will automatically be protected once the form is scanned and converted to PDF. This all-rounded security mechanism with our centralized content repositories like DocuShare provides our customers with a unique solution driven approach to information rights management."
With this partnership, Fuji Xerox can now provide a complete information security solution. Together with Seclore FileSecure, enterprises can now protect both paper and digital documents. This is through Fuji Xerox solutions such as Copy Protection, which is responsible for the duplication of hardcopy documents, and ApeosWare Image Log Software, which monitors and tracks any document once it is copied, printed, faxed or scanned.

Designed to be integration friendly, Seclore FileSecure allows enterprises to embed rights management easily within existing IT infrastructures as a standalone IRM solution, or integrated into existing applications. It enables enterprises to persistently control and monitor information in the form of documents, email, designs and images. Rather than focusing on perimeter control technologies such as disk encryption or network firewalls, which can affect the flow of information by collaboration solutions such as DocuShare, Seclore FileSecure presents a new approach to IRM by focusing on securing the information itself so that it can flow anywhere within or outside or the traditional perimeter. This is done while still ensuring security and privacy, by attaching precise rules to the information and controlling the use and distribution of the information. These controls are persistent and travel with the information as it moves within and outside of organisation boundaries.

Mr Rahul Kopikar, Co-Founder and Head of Business Development, Seclore Technology, said, "We are very happy to enter into this security partnership with Fuji Xerox, the well- recognised market leader in content management systems. We are confident that customers will find FileSecure to be an advanced IRM solution that meets their MFD and mobile needs."

Cool Vendors are “interesting, new and innovative vendors” which “organizations cannot afford to ignore”

Mumbai, India, May 22nd 2012– Seclore, the provider of the most integration friendly Information Rights Management IRM) system in the world, today announced that it has been named a “Cool Vendor” in multiple Cool Vendor reports for 2012 from Gartner. The report highlights innovative vendors across geographies and segments which organizations just cannot afford to ignore.

The report mentions that Seclore has been able to successfully address stumbling blocks in the adoption of IRM technologies. These stumbling blocks include high dependence on formats and applications, need for agent installation and lack of support for mobile devices. With a completely browser based system, dependencies on client infrastructure are minimized thus driving adoption.

“It is an honor to be named the Cool Vendor for 2012 by Gartner. This buttresses the need for enterprises to look at information centric security in an era of cloud services, Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) and external collaboration.” said Vishal Gupta, CEO of Seclore.

About Gartner's Cool Vendor research :

About Seclore:

Seclore www.seclore.com is an information security product company based in Mumbai, India. The company's mandate is to help enterprises achieve the “mutually conflicting” goals of collaboration and security together. This is done by technology which allows information to be "remote controlled" i.e. controlled post distribution through media like email, web storage, ECM tools, IMs etc. Seclore FileSecure allows enterprises to define, implement and audit information usage policies. The usage policies control WHO can access information, WHAT can each person do, WHEN and WHERE.

Application will allow secure documents to be accessed on iPads and iPhones and enable a Bring-Your-Own-Device initiative within enterprises. Application will be free for some time.

Mumbai, India, May 29th 2012 - Seclore ( www.seclore.com ), the provider of the most integration friendly Information Rights Management (IRM) system in the world, today announced the launch of Seclore FileSecure app for iOS devices. FileSecure Lite will allow rights managed documents & emails to be accessed on iOS devices. This will enable enterprises to collaborate across enterprise managed devices and (personal) iPads and iPhones without worrying about information breaches.

Seclore FileSecure allows information to be controlled after it is distributed within or outside the enterprise. The controls extend to WHO (people / groups, within / outside) can use the information, WHAT (view / edit / forward / ...) can each person do, WHEN (dates, timespans, ....) and from WHERE (devices, networks, ....). With these controls extending to information on iOS devices, enterprises can allow these devices to handle confidential corporate information. Audit trails of usage on these devices will also allow enterprises to monitor the flow and usage of this information.

FileSecure lite is available for download from the Apple Marketplace FileSecure Lite. The first release supports all iPad devices and will soon be extended to the iPhone. Seclore FileSecure protected emails and documents received from any source could be accessed using the application. The application will support most common formats. Various licensing models will be available after the initial free usage period.

Integration with Seclore FileSecure  Gives FileNet® Users Unparalleled Information Rights Management Capabilities

San Francisco, Calif., November 30 2012– Seclore, an industry leader in the area of Information Rights Management (IRM) today announced the integration of Seclore FileSecure with IBM’s FileNet® content management solution.

The integration with FileNet® gives customers unparalleled control over a valuable asset – the enterprise information housed within FileNet®. Security policies in IBM FileNet® can control access to information only when it resides within FileNet®. However, once the information has been downloaded, native FileNet® capabilities do not provide a mechanism to control its usage. There is also no ability to track how the information is used and who else gains access to it, nor is it possible to revoke access to the information. Using Seclore’s technology enterprises can exercise full control over who has access to each piece of information, what they can do with that information, how long they have access to it and even control from where they can access it. The controls are implemented whenever information is downloaded from FileNet®. The controls can not only be enforced when the information is first accessed, but also altered or revoked in real time at any time. All authorized and unauthorized attempts to access the information can also be tracked.

In a world that relies ever more on collaboration, such control is needed to mitigate the potentially disastrous consequences of information breaches and protect the knowledge assets of the enterprise.

An organization cannot function within its own walls in today’s dynamic business environment. Partnerships, close collaborations with third parties and outsourcing arrangements are all everyday necessities. Protecting information when it is shared outside the boundaries of the organization is even more critical – and requires the type of post-distribution access controls that Seclore FileSecure provides.

“Security and collaboration are usually considered mutually conflicting goals, but Seclore FileSecure proves this to be a myth,” said Vishal Gupta, CEO, Seclore. “The integration of Seclore FileSecure with IBM FileNet® makes information-centric security for all confidential content an achievable aim.”
Multiple deployments of Seclore FileSecure for IBM FileNet® are already in production, protecting critical documents within and outside the organization. Seclore FileSecure for IBM FileNet® is available now, and may be licensed through IBM FileNet® partners or directly from Seclore.

San Francisco, CA, USA, February13th  2013— MyDLP, the sole open source Data Loss Prevention (DLP) provider and Seclore, the industry leader in Information Rights Management (IRM), today announced the availability of the integration of MyDLP and SecloreFileSecure with a view towards maximizing the impact of DLP and IRM investments.

DLP solutions identifiy confidential information, monitor usage and prevent leaks from within the organization  based on established policy. IRM on the other hand, controls WHO can use the information, WHAT can each person do, WHEN and from WHERE persistently within and outside the enterprise..

“It might appear that the deployment of one of the above negates the need for the other. This however is not true in most cases. ” said Vishal Gupta, CEO, Seclore. “The combination of the discovery and preventive capabilities of MyDLP within the enterprise combined with the persistent control over information of Seclore FileSecure within and outside the enterprise presents a complete information centric security solution to the enterprise.”

Huseyin Kerem Cevahir, Co-founder, MyDLP, said “MyDLP and Seclore, two integration friendly security vendors, have achieved the best DLP and IRM integration in world. Now it is possible to bring complete security to your enterprise that no other IRM and DLP solution can provide.”

The integration of the two solutions allows enterprises to define rules for confidential information discovery based on predefined keywords or regular expressions and then automatically apply Seclore FileSecure usage controls on this information  For MyDLP it means that the DLP policies’ scope can now be extended to outside the organization. For Seclore FileSecure it means that the application of policies can now happen without human intervention. The combined solution truly is more than the sum of parts. A video demonstration of the combined product can be seen on youtube

MyDLP(www.mydlp.com ) is sole open source solution in Content Aware Data Loss Prevention (DLP) market. Other than being the sole Open Source solution, its ease-of-use, integration options and unmatched data analysis speed puts MyDLP in a different category among others. Enterprises boundaries are falling rapidly. Devices are becoming personal with BYOD, networks are becoming public with anywhere anytime access within and outside the enterprise and applications are being hosted externally with cloud adoption,” said Vishal Gupta, CEO Seclore. “The only usable definition of enterprise boundary is information itself. Seclore has created an elegant solution to protect this highly mobile and fluid boundary using persistent, information-centric controls.

Seclore’s technology allows enterprises to control information going on personal devices, cloud based storage and collaboration technologies and to external agencies like service providers, partners and customers. The stumbling blocks of IRM adoption like the prerequisite of a software footprint on the receiver’s device, complex pricing and high dependency on applications, formats and operating systems have all been removed by Seclore.

We invest in companies we believe will be leaders in their space and will be responsible for leading innovation in their category. Customers across the globe are validating the relevance of Seclore’s technology as the risks of information breaches increase for the enterprise,” said Raghuveer Mendu, founding general partner at Ventureast Proactive. As investors, we were impressed by the effectiveness and agnostic nature of Seclore’s technology, which is uniquely different from other offerings in the market. The latest product release from Seclore provides integration with a wide variety of authentication systems including offline systems, integration with SAML-based cloud-hosted identity stores, a data classification framework and easy integration APIs.

Mumbai, September 24, 2013 - Seclore today announced the availability of V 2.46 of its flagship Information Rights Management (IRM) technology - Seclore FileSecure. Building on the core philosophy of being integration-friendly, the new release also includes features for enhancing external collaboration. The updated product benefits large enterprises having to collaborate with users spread across geographies and exchange information with various external stakeholders.

“Being integration-friendly will always be a key success factor for any enterprise IRM technology. But as Bring Your Own Device and Cloud Computing continue to gain momentum, the ability to collaborate beyond the enterprise periphery is also an essential factor,” said Abhijit Tannu, CTO of Seclore.

Some of the major enhancements in this release are:

Integration with a wide variety of authentication and single sign-on systems
Seclore FileSecure provides out-of-the-box availability to integrate with various internal and external identity and authentication systems, including IBM Tivoli, SUN One and CA Siteminder. This significantly reduces time to value and allows enterprises to seamlessly extend the IRM system to external agencies.

Seclore announces the successful deployment of Seclore FileSecure IRM at HDFC Life

Seclore Technology announces successful deployment of Seclore FileSecure IRM at HDFC Life
Mumbai, India, 17th October, 2013 :Seclore Technology, a leader in providing security, privacy and compliance solutions, announces the successful deployment of its flagship Information Rights Management (IRM) technology - Seclore FileSecure- for HDFC Life, one of India's leading private life insurance companies.

HDFC Life was looking for an empowering and integration-friendly security solution to prevent unauthorised use of customer data. Security, privacy and compliance in the context of outsourcing cannot be managed by legal contracts alone; the responsibility lies with the enterprise who owns the customers’ data as well as its own intellectual property.

Seclore FileSecure protects an enterprise’s unstructured information, such as documents and email, by defining usage rights that persist irrespective of location or mode of transfer. These rights – which can be remote controlled –control whocan access information, for whatpurpose, when and from where. This makes Seclore FileSecure an end-to-end information security solution in compliance withregulatory frameworks such as ISO and mandates from IRDA on security and privacy.

Mr Thomson Thomas, Senior Vice President - IT (Head Business Systems and Technology), HDFCLife, said, “Like every other insurance company in India, our organization is also challenged with an ever changing and dynamic business environment, which is coupled with an evolving regulatory framework. Business operations need to be highly agile and driven by responsive decision making, which leads to an overwhelming amount of ‘unstructured’ information that is created, distributed and consumed on a daily basis. At all operational levels, a lot of sensitive and critical information is generated in formats such as standard MS Office, PDF, etc., that need to be controlled by a security and compliance framework. Seclore FileSecure was found to be a very powerful and effective tool to control these risks and ensure that enterprise data always remains within the control of the stakeholders.”

Commenting on the deployment of the technology, Mr Sharad Sadadekar, CISO, HDFC Life, said, “In the world of blurring organizational boundaries and dependence on business providers to process business information, it is imperative for an organisation to ensure that their customer data is safe.  Addressing this issue, Seclore FileSecure provided a comprehensive solution to all the information security needs. The software is engineered in a way that it focuses on the ’solution’ to deliver business value and not only the “technology”.

“It is a matter of pride for us to partner with HDFC Life in their information rights management initiative. HDFC Life chose Seclore FileSecureas the one of the most prominent technologies that can safeguard the customer information. By providing information-centric security, Seclore FileSecure enables enterprises to operate in the emerging world of BYOD and Cloud”, said Vishal Gupta, CEO, Seclore Technology.
HDFC Life thoroughly evaluated many technologies as well as technology combinations before choosing Seclore FileSecure.

About HDFC Life
HDFC Life, one of India's leading private life insurance companies, offers a range of individual and group insurance solutions. It is a joint venture between Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (HDFC), India's leading housing finance institution and Standard Life plc.,the leading provider of financial services in the United Kingdom. HDFC Life continues to have one of the widest reaches among new insurance companies with about 500 branches in India touching customers in over 900 cities and towns.

Mumbai, India, February 24, 2014 – Seclore Technology announces its presence in the IDC Middle East CIO Summit 2014 as a Lunch-Sponsor to be held from 24th February till 25th February, 2014 in Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Businesses thrive on collaboration. However, security and collaboration are mutually exclusive goals. Collaboration increases security risks. This problem is obvious when information is unstructured and in form of documents, emails and drawings. Sacrificing collaboration at the altar of information security is no solution, since it would seriously curtail and confine business interests. Thus Seclore’s brilliantly designed product named Seclore FileSecure, allows information usage to be controlled without the prerequisite of everyone installing a local agent. It is the most integration-friendly Information Rights Management (IRM) system in the world. Any person or system within the enterprise that is creating documents or emails can use Seclore’s technology for securing the information.

“Information security is a global concern, and serious a personal issue for consumers. Hence it’s a critical issue for governments and enterprises to address. It is heartening to see positive steps being taken in this direction in the Middle East, for example the UAE Cabinet’s Resolution 21 that was announced in October 2013.
